Updated COVID-19 Back on Track Protocols and Information for our Clients

Your health and safety are our top priorities, so during this time, we are increasing the intensity and frequency of our standard sanitation procedures to combat the spread of COVID-19.

  1. If you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms including cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever please do not come into the hospital and call to schedule a consult.

  2. We will be rescheduling some “nonessential appointments” for the next 2 weeks. This does not include puppy or kitten appointments or Rabies vaccine appointments.

  3. We may be asking you to drop off your pets for sick appointments. We will instruct you on the phone how to proceed and a technician will come out to your car to get your pet. Again, please do not enter the hospital. We will obtain all your information over the phone, so as to minimize contact as much as possible.

  4. For all other appointments that necessitate coming into the hospital, please keep persons who accompany your pet to a minimum. If at all possible, please have one person per pet.

  5. We are now offering our house call services at a reduced travel rate fee. If you are interested in having a house call for your pet, please call us to discuss if this may be an option for you.

  6. We will also offer consults or appointments remotely (via Zoom on the computer) if at all possible. These are reserved for current clients that are unable to leave their home, and the pet issue may be handled remotely. These will be done directly through the doctor. The doctor may still recommend your pet be seen. Ideally, computers with video access would be preferred for these type of appointments.

  7. We are still taking extra precautions in our hospital including:
    a. We have a foot bath at each of the doors going into the hospital, which is a bleach solution to disinfect your shoes. Please use this upon entering the hospital. Additionally, our staff will be using these before entering into the hospital. Please step in the box to completely cover the soles of shoes to disinfect.
    b. Frequent Hand Washing Procedures: We are emphasizing the importance of vigilant and frequent hand washing regimens for employees before, during, and after shifts.

c.) Sanitation and Minimizing Unnecessary Contact: We are increasing the frequency and intensity of sanitation regiments for all contact surfaces within our hospital

As always, the health and safety of the communities we serve, our customers, patients, and employees are of the utmost importance to us. Trust that we are monitoring the situation closely and will do everything to ensure Back on Track is a safe place for our clients and staff.

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 rapidly changes, we will continue to evolve our response to it. We encourage you to check the CDC website for updates and accurate information.

Please call or email if you have any questions or concerns!

Sincerely,
